When the Boy Scouts call, RumbleOn answers with volunteers.

If there’s one thing RumbleOn cares about, it’s giving back to our community. We teamed up with local Boy Scouts Troop 195 as an official sponsor for their 11th annual Car Show on Saturday, October 12.

Volunteering and giving back are two traits that are built into RumbleOn’s DNA, and we jumped at the chance to help Troop 195 with their annual car show for the second time. For eleven years now, Troop 195 has hosted this fun event and this one was a show to remember at Summit Racing in Arlington, Texas.

This year’s car and motorcycle show was highly anticipated.

Being in the Boy Scouts is a rewarding experience for all involved and is no doubt a wonderful experience for the young boys in Troop 195. The program teaches invaluable lessons and skills including the importance of community involvement, family values, team building, leadership, and helping others, just to name a few. Some of our historical icons were Boy Scouts including Presidents Theodore Roosevelt, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Dwight D. Eisenhower, John F. Kennedy, and Ronald Reagan. Being a Boy Scout isn’t just about earning badges and getting to wear a cool uniform, it’s about helping form a community that can help not just anyone, but everyone.

When it comes to hosting a big event, Troop 195 knows how to do it right. This year’s Motorcycle and Car Show was the biggest and best yet. Since its inception in 2008, the Troop 195 Car and Motorcycle Show has drawn crowds from all over the Dallas-Fort Worth area yearning to show off their vehicles. From 1 pm until 6 pm, there were 113 total entries (107 cars/trucks, 6 motorcycles) with people still registering their vehicles 30 minutes before the event began and well into the afternoon. It would be an understatement to say that people were excited about this event.

Where does RumbleOn come into play? Well, not only were we a major sponsor, but we also hosted the voting process and provided plenty of entertainment for the whole family to enjoy. RumbleOn was also a gracious and integral part of the planning, promotion, and creation of both the registration and voting platforms. RumbleOn also hosted a workshop for Scouts eager to earn their Digital Technology badge. Senior Vice President of Marketing, Heather Harrington, is a Boy Scout mom and knows all about how hard these boys work day-in and day-out to be the best scouts they can be.

“As someone who lives in this area and as a mother to scouts, events like this highlight how businesses can use their expertise to help amplify something awesome going on in the community,” said Heather Harrington. “My team and I had a ton of fun supporting our local troop, and look forward to doing it again next year.”

It’s events like these that help shape the youth of this nation to be better people. With over 300-plus people in attendance and donations pouring in, this was without a doubt the best Troop 195 Car and Motorcycle show to date. After all entry fees and donations were counted, we helped raise $2,260 for Troop 195. It’s important to remember that these fees help assist the troop with field trips, camping trips, uniforms, unit supplies, and more.

We’re already looking forward to next year’s event. If you have a car, truck or motorcycle you want to show off all while giving back to our Boy Scouts, we’d love to see you out next year! All of us at RumbleOn are very appreciative of Boy Scout Troop 195 for allowing us to help support them, the good folks who entered into the show, and for all of those that attended this great cause.
